Paying for college in Kentucky

Leaving the state doesn't have to mean full out-of-state tuition. Kentucky residents are covered by a regional tuition exchange at public colleges in other member states.

  • Academic Common Market (ACM)

At participating colleges in other member states, Kentucky residents can pay in-state tuition for a specific major that no public college in their home state offers. You need admission to that major and approval from your home state's coordinator.

Coming from another ACM state? Northern Kentucky University, Morehead State University, Eastern Kentucky University, University of Louisville, Murray State University, University of Kentucky, Western Kentucky University and Kentucky State University take part in ACM.
