Unlike a metro built around one dense city core, Dallas-Fort Worth's colleges are genuinely spread across the whole Metroplex: TCU sits in Fort Worth, UT Dallas in Richardson, the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University both in Denton, and UT Arlington in Arlington -- five different cities, none of them Dallas proper, all inside the same commute radius. SMU (63% admit) is the most selective option actually headquartered in Dallas itself.
